The Diocese of Ratnapura gathered together with the civil society and the representatives of the other religions to welcome and Felicitate Archbishop Malcolm Ranjith on 31st October 2009 at Ratnapura.

His Lordship Bishop Cletus Chandrasiri Perera OSB, several Rev. Fathers, Religious, representatives of other religions, some members of the Parliament and several other distinguished guests were present to felicitate Archbishop Malcolm. His Grace was welcomed in the town and was accompanied to the Cathedral with the traditional bands and the felicitation programme was held at the Cathedral after the pryaer service.
